Meet Zuri

My Story

This isn’t easy for me to write, but I’ve been left with no other choice.

Last May, I rescued an indie pup named Zuri. Since then, I’ve tried countless times to find him a loving forever home. A few people did take him in, but each time they had to return him because their families didn’t support the decision or other circumstances got in the way.

Eventually, I decided that I would keep him with me forever and take him wherever life took me. But now I’m moving abroad for my master’s, and as an international student, I’m not allowed to bring him with me. Even if it were possible, balancing studies, part-time work, and everything else means I wouldn’t be able to give him the time, love, and attention he truly deserves.

I also asked my parents if they could keep him, but they already have two dogs, and asking them to take care of Zuri as well would be unfair.

I’ve spent so many nights crying over this decision. Looking at him knowing I have to let him go breaks my heart. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.

So I’m reaching out with all my heart. If you or someone you know can give Zuri a loving home, please consider adopting him. And if adoption isn’t possible, I have one more request, if someone could foster him for the next 2.5 years, I promise I’ll bring him back with me once I’ve completed my master’s.

Please help me help him. He is incredibly loving, loyal, and affectionate. I truly believe that if you meet him, you’ll fall in love with him just as I did. ❤️
