My Story

Support needed for Asha – A Brave Female Indie Dog Seeking a Forever Home  

Dear Friends,

I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request to support Asha, a resilient and gentle one year old female indie dog who is searching for a loving forever home and assistance with her ongoing boarding expenses during this transition period.

Asha’s early life was distressing. In July 2025, she was confiscated from a family in the Ejipura area of Bengaluru, India, after a video surfaced in the Koramangala Canine Squad Whatsapp group showing her and another dog tied up, neglected, and living in unsafe conditions. Following her rescue, Asha was taken to Cartman Animal Hospital, where she was diagnosed with tick fever, treated successfully, and nursed back to health.

After her medical recovery, Asha came into my home for foster care. She underwent spaying surgery, completed her post-operative care under close attention, and her sutures were removed on 31st September 2025. During this time, she received nothing less than the “A-Class Queen Treatment,” and she blossomed beautifully with love and security.

Despite everything she has endured, Asha remains:

• Sweet and shy, but trusting with gentle handling

• Affectionate and sensitive, forming deep bonds

• Playful and energetic, once she feels safe

• Emotionally resilient, responding wonderfully to kindness

Asha is now completely ready for adoption, whether in India or abroad, and is currently staying at a safe boarding facility in Bangalore while we search for the right family.

Any support-whether through funding, sharing her story, or connecting her to potential adopters, would make a meaningful difference in ensuring she continues to stay safe and cared for until she finds a family of her own.
